Application (General)

As of May 1, 2007, the Application (General) MUST be prepared under the supervision of a Lawyer. All family law actions here comply with this rule and as set by the Law Society of Upper Canada. All other Application (General) that do not comply with this rule may be rejected by the court. All unauthorized Agents and Web Sites may be Prosecuted.

An Application (General) allows you to claim for Custody, Access (Visitation), Child support from your spouse/partner or obtain a restraining order against your spouse/partner.

In-order to draft your Application (General) You acknowledge and confirm THAT:

1. The Lawyer DOES NOT provide any legal advice to you, implied or otherwise, in any way, form or manner.

2. The Lawyer does advise you to obtain legal advice with respect to any corollary issues such as custody, support, the Equalization of net family properties and the applicable time limits with respect to making such claims.

3. You may request to receive legal advice from the Lawyer at which time it will be provided at a cost to you.

4. This is a new claim relating to All or one of child support, OR custody, OR access OR restraining order that HAS NOT been dealt with in the court before.

6. I am NOT looking to change a previous court order given at any court.
